Can someone help me solve this question? Thanks!

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Try re-arranging. Isolate h.

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

The last one was different from this one though

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

1) Divide both sides by pi * r 2) Then try squaring both sides. What do you get?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

The last one was just the opposite of this question.

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

A^2

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

I'll solve this again. Try understanding this time. We have to isolate 'h'. \[A = \pi r \sqrt{r^2 + h^2}\]Divide both sides by \(\pi r\). \[\frac{A}{\pi r} = \sqrt{r^2 + h^2}\]Square both sides. \[\frac{A^2}{\pi ^2 r^2} = r^2 + h^2 \implies h^2 + r^2 = \frac{A^2}{\pi ^2 r^2} \]Subtract both sides by \(r^2\) \[h^2 + r^2 - r^2 =h^2 = \frac{A^2}{\pi ^2 r^2} - r^2\]Square-root both sides. \[h = \pm \sqrt{\frac{A^2}{\pi ^2 r^2}-r^2}\] Getting this?

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

ok so we take it out and then divide it ok, gotcha on that
