whats your guess?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The top triangle is just 1/2 * (base) * (height) or 1/2*3*4 The rectangle is easy length * width or 10 *3 and the trapezoidal base is (height)/2 * (base1 + base2) In a trapezoid, the bases are considered the parallel lines, so in this figure base1 = 3 and base2 = 5. The height is the distance between those two lines, which we are given as 2. So the area of the trapezoid is 2/2 * (3 + 5) or just simply 3 + 5.

So...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so knowing those, add all of them together to get the final total. for the triangle, it equals 6 right?? and for the rectangle, obviously 30, and for the trapezoid, it would equal 8.. so 6+30=36. 36+8=44. so the answer is 44

Was my formula right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, all of them were. good job!

Ok thanks.. I'll post my other one
