OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

Which sentence uses commas correctly? A. While you are waiting, for the snow to melt, please do not run on the sidewalks. B. Oh let's make some hot cocoa, in the kitchen. C. After the storm many inches of snow had accumulated, on the lawn. D. Shivering from the cold, we decided to kindle a blaze in the fireplace. I think it is A because if you take out the words between the commas it would sound like the a correct sentence. Just double checking....

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

Yay!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But, D also sounds correct :/

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

Could you tell me why?

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

@KyanTheDoodle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, from what I can tell you, I don't see any mistakes.. And you WOULD need a comma after cold.

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

@prettygirl876

OpenStudy (gabbyalicorn):

Okay, well thank you for the help.... :)

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

A is incorrect because the comma after "waiting" is unnecessary.

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

By the way, do you like my jacket that makes me look like an owl?
