Which part of a spinal reflex arc receives information from a pain receptor? Dorsal root The spinal cord The brain A cranial nerve i think it c the brain

When your body experiences pain, it has to react as soon as possible to prevent any damage to your person. While the neurological transmission to the brain or cranial nerve may be very rapid, it still involves a delay because the stimuli must trigger the impulse which has to go up, be cognitively processed and then come back down with an action (that is moving yourself away from harm). Instead, you'll find that the pain reflex is quite simply a reflex. It doesn't take cognition to experience a hot flame and move your hand away, this is because the pain receptors send information to the spinal cord which makes a quick decision to move your hand away before your brain even has time to think about it.
Correct sensory neurons send messages to the brain. The brain then relays this information and the messages are consciously interpreted. It is only at this point that you will begin to feel pain.
