OpenStudy (16shuston):

Okay so your equation will be. 40/12=55/e. then solve for e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i do that? im struggling in this topic right now.

OpenStudy (misty1212):

lol no!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

it is a law of sines problem, not a ratio problem

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[\frac{e}{\sin(55)}=\frac{12}{\sin(40)}\] is a start

OpenStudy (16shuston):

that will get the answer and the law of sines wont work its not a right angle.. unless i was taught wrong

OpenStudy (misty1212):

then solve for \(e\) via \[c=\frac{12\sin(55)}{\sin(40)}\] and a calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-16.100??
