Here, you simply subtract f(x) from g(x). That would be (5x - 3) - (3x - 3). If you add the opposite, you would get (5x - 3) + (-3x + 3). Add like terms, 5x + -3x = 2x and -3 + 3 = 0. Therefore, it's A.
