Though Broward and Palm Beach have High income, and are mainly democrat, Escambia is also high income and mainly republican. I think it has more to do with moral principals and race.

Look at Collier and Marion counties.

Collier is mostly republican while Marion is Democrat. but they both have the same income levels.

Broward and Palm Beach counties have the same income as Collier but are democrat. That shows that income does not affect political views.
