3m+7=28

@sammixboo

sammixboo (sammixboo):

First start this by SUBTRACTing 7 on both sides of the equation since you are originally adding 7. 3m + 7 - 7 = 28 - 7 3m = 28 - 7 What' 28 - 7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops sorry and its 21

sammixboo (sammixboo):

It's fine! :) And right 3m = 21 What do you think we do now? As we can see we are multiplying 3. We have to do the oppisite to both sides, right? So do we multiply or divide 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

No :P We do the oppisite, so we divide. 3m = 21 3m/3 = 21/3 m = 21/3 What's 21/3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Right! so m = 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks! Are you still able to help with the last 2?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Yes! I actually have to finish getting ready for my softball game, which will only take me a minute. You can post your question, and if soeone else helps, I won't mind, but if no one helps I will help when I get back ^-^
