Use the circumference of a quarter circle with radius 5 cm, plus 2 * 5 cm.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

How did you get 7.85 cm? Is that just the round part?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Don't be confused. The perimeter is the length all around the figure. Here you have a quarter of a circle's circumference which is 2 * 5 * 3.14/4 = 7.85 added to two sides measuring 5 cm. 7.85 + 5 + 5 = 17.9
