how did their dependence on British trade affect the opinions of Americans in the East and North regarding the War of 1812. more inclined to fund the war of 1812 less supportive of the war of 1812 secretively supportive of the war of 1812 less interested in resolving trade disputes

OpenStudy (micahm):

The Federalists and the Republicans were split over the War of 1812 which had been declared in North America by James Madison. His opponents called it the "President's War". Many along the Canada-United States Border - on both sides - found the War an inconvenience as it 'hampered' trade. Despite trade not being formally legal it continued between many of the bordering centres. The War of 1812 was the catalyst of the demise of the Federalist political party. The geographic regions used in the question may be more of a construction based on assumption than helpful in understanding the War itself.
