Dakota recorded the high temperatures for every day last week on this table: Day High Temperature Sunday 79⁰ Monday 72⁰ Tuesday 75⁰ Wednesday 61⁰ Thursday 59⁰ Friday 81⁰ Saturday 64⁰ Choose an appropriate form of graphical representation for this data and explain your choice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I would use either a line graph or a bar graph because it shows variation in the temperatures each day.

Jeremy loves movies. He likes to watch movies and someday he hopes to make one of his own. He likes to ask questions about movies. He likes to discuss movies with other people and he is interested in other’s opinions about movies. Write one movie-related statistical question—that is, one that yields variability. Then write one movie-related question that does not yield variability.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

btw you kinda have to explain ur answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think that should be for you to do on the exam. Not gonna give you every thing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well variability is when something can change depending on other factors.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why did you take away my medal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

becuase of what you said when u said ur not helping me but i give it back

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you. It's not that I'm not helping you but it's the fact that I get in trouble when I give the whole answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oki well then give me an example

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyways so an example of a movie related question that has variability is "What is your favorite movie?" or "Who is your favorite actor?" the reason this has variability is because it could change if that person watches a movie that they like more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An example of non-variablilty is "Have you seen "x" movie?" Because it's either yes or no they have or they haven't
