Do you know what like terms are?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but i dont understand the signs i know your supposed to change them but im confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay :) Always remember: (+ ) (-) = (-) a positive multiplied by a negative is negative (+)(+)= (+) a positive multiplied by a positive is positive (-)(-)= (+) a negative multiplied by a negative is positive \(\sf -(-2b^7)\) this is (-)(-)= (+) case so it will be \(\sf +2b^7\) Can you solve it from here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so does that turn -15^7 into +15^7 as well?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what your saying is the equation should now be \[(15b ^{7}-7) - 2b ^{7}\]
