What's the question?
Which expression shows the value of c? a. \[\frac{ b }{ \tan 45 degrees }\] b. \[\frac{ b }{ \cos 45 degrees }\] c. a cose 45 degrees d. a tan 45 degrees
@peachpi Do you understand this?
@heather_theginger Do you understand this?
@ziawasim could you please explain how you got the answer for me
ans is B here c is hypotenuse and base and perpendicular have same length becoz angles are same if we take side b as base then cos45=b/c tthen c will be equal to c=b/cos45
This one could you check--> How are the sin 30° and the cos 60° related? Explain using complete sentences. The thing that makes sin 30 degrees and cos 60 degrees is they both give you 1 over 2 (1/2), also when you add these two degrees together you get 90 degrees which makes a perfect right triangle or right angle.
@ziawasim that's what I thought but I wasn't sure
c is the hypotenuse, so you need to use either sin or cos. cos 45 = adjacent/hypotenuse cos 45 = a/c Multiply both sides by c c cos 45 = a Divide both sides by cos 45 c = a/cos 45 This a 45-45-90 triangle so a = b. c = b/cos 45
30 and 60 degrees are complements, so their sines and cosines are equal. sin 30° = cos 60° cos 30° = sin 60°
