OpenStudy (anonymous):

answers*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

prigy is that you have a talent and if you have zeal you have conviction.......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*prodigy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isn't D the opposite of each other?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Zealot means : a person who is fanatical and uncompromising in pursuit of their religious, political, or other ideals. and Conviction means:formal declaration that someone is guilty of a criminal offense, made by the verdict of a jury or the decision of a judge in a court of law.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe its b because prodigal means spending money or resources freely and recklessly; wastefully extravagant.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It seems as if they have nothing to do with the other imo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A prodigal person spends MONEY A procrastinator don't have a proper CALENDAR A zealot has a stron religious CONVICTION A kind person is the opposite of malevolent (not related to each other)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Prodigal - The wasteful spend of some sort of most times having to do with the spending of money. Money - Is a current for exchange as I said before Prodigal is spending Money. I said it was B. as the first response.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The book's definition for prodigal is 1. Recklessly wasteful; Extravagant 2. Profuse; Lavish n. A spendthrift

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it can't be A; that's established

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well chose what you think we gave are thoughts :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it just leaves the debate between B and D, but I'm really unsure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you all, though this was quite helpful

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll say what the answer was when I submit it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have another one actually

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The President of the United States is expected to ___ visiting heads of state with a banquet at the White House. A. zeal B. procrastinate C. fete D. profane

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A prodigy has talent. So which of these answers fits this same pattern? If a prodigal is wasteful it would make sense that he doesn't actually possess much (because he spends it all). However, a zealot has conviction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could have to complete this sentence with a verb. So, which of the answers are verbs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I really don't klnow which one it is for the first one, but I'm going to risk it with B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I chose D. Profane

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Profane means to disrespect...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think it's fete because that's a noun

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Some words can be multiple parts of speech depending on their usage.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

prodigy relates to talent... as I've said before..... \(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Data_LG2 A prodigal person spends MONEY A procrastinator don't have a proper CALENDAR A zealot has a stron religious CONVICTION A kind person is the opposite of malevolent \(\sf \color{red}{(\text{not related to each other})}\) \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Normally they don't use the same word twice in these tests, and procrastinate is the answer for 20 so I think it's unlikely for that to be it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Data, I'm a bit confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got some help, its fete I belive. I'll post the answers here in a bit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer to the first was D and the second was C again thanks for all your help @mommatotwo @Data_LG2 @TheAsker2002 @sovietsexy @sneli5 @conversegenius @sarahmotionless
