Which function represents the number of seconds, s, in d days? (Hint: The number seconds in a day is 24 × 60 × 60 = 86,400.) The function that represents the number of seconds, s, in d days is f(d) =

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

We can simply take the number of seconds in a day (86,400) and multiply it by d. What would that look like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(d)=86,400 x d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

86400d

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

yeah, but you don't need the 'x'. When multiplying the variable you can attach it to the number.

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Yep. ^

Cool

Thanks, I thought it would have been more difficult I thought I was missing something

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

And whatever you replace 'd' with in f(d) will also replace the d on the other side of the function. i.e. Find f(4). You would just solve 86,400(4).
