Why can the image of the Taj Mahal in this photo be seen both right side up and upside down? (Hint: There is a pool of water in front of the Taj Mahal.) A. Light is bouncing off the surface of the pool of water at the same angle and intensity that the light reached the pool of water. The upside-down image is a reflected image. B. Light is being absorbed by the pool of water. The upside-down image is the result of the absorption of different wavelengths of colors.

C. Light is passing through the surface of the pool of water travels at different speeds through air and water. The upside-down image is a transmitted image. D. Light travels at different speeds through water and the air, refracting the light. The upside-down image is a refracted image.

|dw:1430954602137:dw| are these two triangles like "upside down " ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one is upside down

A. Light is bouncing off the surface of the pool of water at the same angle and intensity that the light reached the pool of water. The upside-down image is a reflected image.

OpenStudy (dan815):

There is a reflection across the X axis going on

OpenStudy (dan815):

If light is completely absorbed then you wont see it, so there will be no reflction

Thank you for helping ! :)

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes it's a reflection over the axis pre-image of the original one with the same distance |dw:1430955074461:dw| if you use those point and apply distance formula you will get same answer
