WHoa, that's a lot. WHat I know for sure is the |-1| means the absolute value which means you gnore and symbols with it. and also ther e is a lot of multiplying

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me figure it out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't even know where to begin ;o

sorry, I'm not sure :( This is really complicated. You must have really hard. Must mean you're also really good at it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, f(x)=x*|-1|^2 by using f(2) To do this you must replace all x's with 2 so f(2)=2*|-1|^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you gotta simplify down by using "PEMDAS" (which shows what goes first on the equation) So going down, you gotta change -1 to 1 cause anything that's -1 in these | | are changed to a positive so now that's taken down you then add the exponent which then changes it to 2 so what you have left is 2*2 which =4 <- answer

THANK YOU!! :D

No problem :)
