Can someone please tell me if i got this right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A mirror frame in the shape of an oval is shown below. The ends of the frame form semicircles: An oval is formed by a rectangle with semicircles at each end. The length of the rectangle is 62 inches. The width of the rectangle is 27 inches. Which of the following is the perimeter of the inner edge of the frame? (π = 3.14) 146.78 inches 208.78 inches 293.56 inches 347.56 inches

@amistre64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sammixboo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my answer was 262.78

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because i did 67*2+27*2 to find the perimeter of the rectangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i did Pi*27/2 to find the perimeter of the semicircle and multiplied it by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please help @sammixboo @TheSmartOne @amistre64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Circumference = 2π × radius

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the semicircle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divided by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u show me how i dont understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

π × radius

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3.14x13.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

42.39

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we have 2 semicircle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@SinginDaCalc2Blues

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i will check ur answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hi @amistre64

OpenStudy (amistre64):

hi ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u help me?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youve been helped, and C = d pi might be more straight forward here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did i do 67*2+27*2+42.39*2 correctly?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

no thats not correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so can you tell me how?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

where do you get those numbers from? 27 is the only one on teh picture.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is 62 and 27

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so 2 straight at 62 and a circle of diameter 27

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2*62 + 27pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

474.14

OpenStudy (amistre64):

no

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i cant help you add and multiply ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what is 2*62?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2*62 is 124

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good, 27pi?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and 27 * 3.14 is 84.78

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good add them? 124.00 +84.78

OpenStudy (anonymous):

208.78

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so THATS THE ANSWER?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

thers nothing left to add or multiply so yeah, thats the end

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thank you, please stay online i WILL need you later

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i cant guarentee that ill be here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know but for at least 30 mins?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

dunno, we will see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u answer 1 mor Q?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

maybe 1 more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i will tag u
