The angles shown below are supplementary: A pair of supplementary angles is shown. One angle measures 10x and the other angle measures 80 degrees. What is the value of x? 10° 11° 20° 22°

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64

OpenStudy (amistre64):

define supllementary angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not really sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no mathbook either

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then you need to study that, its in your material or at least a google search defines it.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when you get a definition, let me know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Two Angles are Supplementary when they add up to 180 degrees. They don't have to be next to each other, just so long as the total is 180 degrees.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good, then lets add up the angles and solve for x 10x + 80 = 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay wow, umm.... hm.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe a hint would help on HOW to calculate it?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you have something, and add 80 to it; and you results is 180, what did you start with? this is basic arithmetic.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im 12 bruh idk about arthimetric

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont even know how to spell that

OpenStudy (amistre64):

well this site is for 13 and above, and i have to moderate it.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

telling people yor age is not a good idea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dude i ws born on jan 9 2002 do the math i AM 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12 is just a description

OpenStudy (amistre64):

now you can add lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-.-

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you started at some age, and added 8, and are now 13, then how old were you before?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13-8=5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I GETTTTIIIIIITTTTTTTTTT

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good, apply that same idea to your problem if we had something and added 80, and we have 180 now, what did we have before?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

180-18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

162!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so close, your fingers slipped. 180-80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh right sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

100

OpenStudy (amistre64):

now that something is just 10x 10x = 100 10 times what, is 100?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then x must be 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OMG I LOVE DIS GUY

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK YOU

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good luck :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thx
