again y varies directly with x^2 means
y=ax^2
64=a(4)^2
64=a16
a=64/16
a=4
so we have y=2x^2
plug x=6
we have y=2(6)^2=2(36)=72
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
hmm where i'm being retrice?
i doing her a favor to push her work this and understand it
getting answers is not good, what are gonna do during tests?
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
is it clear now?
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
oh sorry should be y=4x^2 not y=2x^2
so y=4(36)=144
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
sorry mistake there lol
