Given the parametric equations x = 2t and y = t− t2/4 what are the x and y coordinates at t = -2?

OpenStudy (freckles):

@Niguyver I think you will be surprised how easy this one is

OpenStudy (freckles):

you have the point (2t,t-t^2/4) where 2t is the x-coordinate and t-t^2/4 is the y-coordinate for the value t

OpenStudy (freckles):

just enter in t=-2

OpenStudy (freckles):

is y , t-t^2/4 or (t-t^2)/4?

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[y=t-\frac{t^2}{4} \\ \text{ input } -2 \text{ for } t \\ y=-2-\frac{(-2)^2}{4}\] I'm sure you can follow the order of operations

OpenStudy (freckles):

do the exponent part then the division then the subtraction
