i will give medal: Answer of Jesus , He is the messiah.
@yeye77
@yeye77
jesus is the son of God; Our saviour
so God is the messiah, not Jesus?
jesus belongs to the holy trinity
so what could be the answer here :D
what is the question ?
Answer of Jesus , He is the messiah.
Christians say jesus is the messiah; Jews say the messiah haw not come yet.
@~Gelmhar
Jesus is the Messiah, The Trinity is Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit.
Scriptures say's Christ will save many, what God the Father has plan may be an other savior Himself. As Christ said "Who is my mother, brother, and sister but those in God's will.
Exactly
*Cough cough* Jesus is God in flesh- the risen lamb that was slain for our iniquity. Son of God, The Christ, he who sits at the right hand of the Father. Was he a Messiah? So much more than just a messenger, @yeye77 . Christians say he IS the son of the living God, that no man should see God but through him. (See John 14:6)
I actually have to disagree with that in the sense if the only way to God is through Christ than God doesnt' exist only Christ. I disagree with the principle that Christ is God and in fact it may be this position that is the Anti-Christ. I will never set all limits on God the Father as Christ said "with God all is possible".
So you're claiming that Jesus Christ is the anti-Christ, @KenLJW ... How could Satan cast out Satan, as Jesus did while he was on earth? "A House divided shall never prosper." The only way that Jesus could have the authority he had was through God the Father. I'd like to see this scripture that God says "I will send a savior OTHER than my only begotten son."
I did not say Christ was the Anti-Christ, I said a Christ that comes about and claims to be God is the Anti-Christ. And in fact I think the teaching that Christ is God is of the Anti-Christ.
yes he is , in middle east the word messiah is same as jesus also been names as "Esa"
_Squish, If you read the Prohet's you'll fing that God the Father wil be a saviour, and in the New Testement it say's Christ will save many. In St John Christ thanks the Father for those given him, so basically I consider salvation to be the function of both God the Father and Son.
For God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY SON, for whoever BELIEVES in HIM(Jesus), shall not parish, but have ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:16
Christ said "who is my mother, bother, and sister but those in God's will" in other words one can follow the teaching of Christ, which are the teachings in the Torah and Prophets, and serve God the Father. Remember the only prayer given by Christ is the "Our Father ..." which is a prayer to the Father not to Christ.
@KenLJW Few things.. 1. You still haven't quoted scripture. You're just rambling on about what you believe is right. 2. Christ said "Who is my mother, brother, and sister but those in God's will." In other words, we are all apart of the body of Christ, those who have accepted him as Lord and Savior. In Heaven, we will be just like him in every way. Full of love and knowing not of sin, but all of knowledge. John 10:30 - "I and my Father are one."
My understanding of "I and my fathe are one" is they are of the same accord, its when not that a problem arises. As for quoting scriptures you haven't been readig my posts here and in other question. Do you know what a tow is, its a small thread and if you read Isaiah chapter one you'll know how it's used. Personally I dont' like to use tows because it really can be misunderstood and abused. My intention is not to control people but to have them seek the Lords on their own both scriptuallly and in life. To understand where Christ was coming from you really must read the Old Testement because that is what he followed and honored.
Yes, @KenLJW, we pray to the Father, but we pray to Him through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, through His sacrifice, created a way for us to have a everlasting personal relationship and communication with the Father. Therefore, we go to the Father through Jesus Christ. See: 2 Corinthians 5:18. Also, Jesus Christ is God, because as @_Squish said, John 10:30 states that "I and my Father are one." 1 Timothy 3:16 says "God was manifested in the flesh." John 1:1 also says, "The Word was God." Many other passages prove that Jesus Christ is God like John 8:58. I struggled with the notion that Jesus is God, but the overwhelming evidence in the Bible that Jesus is God made me believe the Jesus is God for sure. Jesus Christ is the actual Messiah that was prophesiesed in the Old Testament. The Birth of Jesus proves that He is the Messiah. Actually, many verses prove that He is the Messiah such as: Isaiah 7:14, Micah 5:2, and Zechariah 9:9. Read this: http://www.matthewmcgee.org/evidence.html . Psalm 22 tells of what suffering the Messiah would endure during His death, and these were exactly fulfilled by Jesus Christ during His death. The prophecy of the resurrection of the Messiah in Psalm 16:10 also proves that Jesus is the Christ. In Acts 13:33-36, Paul writes about the fulfillment of the prophesy through Jesus Christ's resurrection. Hope this Helps. :)
could it be that the fulfillment of the prophesy were retrofitted into this sage that walked the earth in a very politically and religiously tumultuous time?
Some of the prophecies attributed to Christ are really very weak, while other's are very strong. For those who insist on reading only the new testemant consider what Christ said after many of his parables and sayiings. Those who have ears to hear, let them hear, this essentually means if you have enough background, Old Testement understanding, that you'll understand. Do you accept what other's say as truth or do you do your own research, I agree as children we must initially learn from others but does that mean we never learn on our own, sad world if that's the case.
Thanks for your reply. I am probably well known in among my peers for not easily accepting what other deem true. Actually, I have rejected many thing that the majority of people believe is true. But one thing that I realized, was that just because I don't think something is true does not mean it is actually false. Other may be right, while I can be wrong. I am always open to that. Probably a year ago, I began to go on a rejection spree. I did not believe what anyone else said unless I thought it was true. I used to get frustrated at people because I thought that every Christian was blind and didn't know the real truth. I realized after a long time of stress and research, that people actually are not dumb. I am not the only enlightened one in a world that is dark. People have reason, logic, and faith. They are equally as intelligent and "enlightened" as me. The thing that held me from the real truth was my pride (thinking that I was a one of the few who actually understood things right). One thing that I began to practice and we all should begin to practice, is that just because many people follow a certain path or belief, does not mean we should not follow or believe the same. We cannot be like lone wolves -thinking that we are only one's that know the truth. From experience, I can truly say that the first thing that happens when we think that we are enlightened while everyone else is darkened, is that our judgement and reason becomes impaired. Pride begins to grow rapidly in us, and the more we began to believe that we are the only ones to hold the truth, the more we reject things that are actually the truth. I learned the following from my Physics class: Newton said that I have reached this level of success by "standing on the shoulders of giants." He credited others to have helped him obtain the knowledge that he had. He did not reject every mathematical theory just because someone else made it. Although he probably rejected many, realized that he must learn from others to obtain greater knowledge. The reason I did not go into specifics in this comment about prophesies and the validity of Jesus as Messiah, was that I believe that somethings, despite the best evidence, cannot change a person from their preconceived notions. My preconcieved notion, a year ago, was that I believed that I had a good understanding of how the universe really works, a good grasp on the mysteries of the Bible, and a proper idea that people in this world were living in their lazy, going-with-the-flow ways. But yet again, after a long time and many struggles, I could not help but admit that many things that I have been believing all this time was actually false and that some of the beliefs that the majority held were actually the truth. Sorry for the long comment. Thanks.
Truth is not democratic, ie the majority rules, but if one follows the truth and lives honest lives they will be accepted. It is not easy to fine truth but you always will if your honest with yourself and others. Our country's laws are changing to a more realistic way. not that there truth but it appears the only peacefull way. Live your life and be a good influence on other's and let the final judement be to the one that knows.
I think you are mistaking truth/true from fact/right in manner they were understood in the ancient past.
One can assume that science is tha only way to know truth/fact, but consider the secrecy surrounding the A-bomb, and question what else is being delved into wihout our knowedge. I'm not a conspiracy nut just being rational. As strive to understand classical physics from the 19th century, which turned out to be a approxiate of what was discovered in the 20th, Each generation trying to learn the old before the new building toward some furture. What future lays before us depends on the foundations of the past, you may be able to just deny the ancients but they may of been in contact with something or someome that we appear to blind of today. Remember the futrue depends on the past and everyones future may not be the same.
The term Christ is an English derivative of the New Testament Greek word christos, which means “anointed.” The equivalent Hebrew word in the Old Testament is mashiach. This term is transliterated in the King James New Testament as messias (John 1:41; John 4:25), a word that has come down into modern English, including many Bible versions, as “messiah.” Both Christ and Messiah mean “anointed” or “anointed one.”
