its my credit recovery course. im just trying to fly through it to graduate. once in a while a question will come up that i dont know

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

g(-9) is asking for the value of the function g at the point x = -9?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Still no idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill give ya a medal.. i just and trying to get through this quickly.. i really do appreciate the help

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Go to the point ( -9, 0 ) on the x-axis and see what the value of the function is there ...

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

... In other words if I gave you the number -9 and you put it into the function g what number would come out?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Sometimes this can be written as y = g ( x )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh goodness yeah I don't know...

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Input = x output = y

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Input = -9 Output = ?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Where is -9 on the x-axis?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

-9 is nine units to the left of the origin, go to that point and look for what the functional value is?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

The answer is 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was just about to reply to ask if 1 was right but my computer crashed! thank you so much for the help!!!
