Give one example of how magnets and charged particles differ in the number of charges or poles that can occur.
Anyone? :D @MrNood @wolfe8 @Mashy
Can you help? @radar
Gee I've never considered their being more than two types of charge, positive and negative, the same goes for magnetic poles, (South and North) the number and orientation of the poles can influence the value of the total charge or the resultant magnetic field. But it was a long time ago since I studied this, and maybe I haven't kept up with the times!..
What are you studying and anything else on the context of the question?
magnetic monopoles?
I am studying Magnetism.
Anyway, I think your answer helps, so thanks! :D
We can observe positive charges and negative charges separately. Nevertheless, at the moment, we can not observe North magnetic charges and South magnetic charges separately. Even if, theoretically, the existence of magnetic monopoles has been predicted, their experimental observation has been not occurred
