I think I have the correct answer I just want to make sure that I do , can someone help me :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I choose C ^^^^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16 , 32 = (+ )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2-4=2 which is +2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

incorrect, it's not C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y-y _{1}=m(x-x _{1})\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I had two one I choose .. B or C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

32-16 =16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i am now thinking it is B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[Slope = \frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2} - x _{1}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[Slope = \frac{ 32-16 }{ 4-2 }= \frac{ 16 }{ 2 }= 8\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2-16=14 4-32=-28 6-48=-42 8-64=-56

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh I see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if i am correct i think its A ^^^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are correct! c(ˊᗜˋ*c)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay .. I skipped one of the steps with the slope , I get this problem now thanks ,. :p have a great day

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem.

OpenStudy (loser66):

@Mateaus Can you explain me why A but C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well the point slope formula is \[y-y _{1} = m(x-x _{1})\] You are given the points already which are positive. So we have:\[y - (+16) = 8 (x-(+2))\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's how we get A instead of C

OpenStudy (loser66):

Clear. Thanks a lot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the points were negative then C would be the correct answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem.
