Which sentence uses a verb that agrees with its subject? A. Italy, in addition to many other European countries, now use the euro as its currency. B. The newscasters on Channel 20 seems very friendly. C. The spice in those containers were probably not fresh. D. A snowstorm during the winter months is not unusual in many places.
What do you think?...
B
Though this is a direct answer, the right choice is D, a 'snowstorm' is singular, and 'is' is the proper singular verb to accompany it. The reason the answer is not B is because 'newscasters' should be paired with 'seem', rather than 'seems', as 'seems' is for the singular form of the word, not the plural.
As long as you explain how you got the answer @IReallyCouldUseHelp You are fine :)
Lol, thanks. I've been unkindly spoken to by uptight people that like to troll and say nothing but "NO DIRECT ANSWERS." "IT'S AGAINST THE RULES." Haha @Dreamer101
