Are you still on this question?
yes
Well then what are your thoughts isawesome?
What is ur educated guess?
i thought it was the 3rd one but i got it wrong, im not even sure what a dangling modifier is..
Really? It's not the third one? That's quite shocking.
An industrial power, the Germans have been reunited. "A power" normally refers to a whole country, so it would have to go with "Germany", as it does in examples 2 and 3.
my test said it was wrong.. is it right? if so ill call my teacher
That is what i think... Kyan what do u think
@KyanTheDoodle
Yeah. I really don't see how C could be wrong. I think the person who made the answer key for that question made a mistake.
okay thanks.. but could one of you tell me what a dangling modifier is? i have another question that asks it
A dangling modifier is a word or phrase that modifies a word not clearly stated in the sentence. A modifier describes, clarifies, or gives more detail about a concept. Having finished the assignment, Jill turned on the TV.Jan 7, 2013
It's like a phrase that isn't clear or is missing a detail, or is placed improperly.
To reach the river, this path must be followed. To reach the river, you must follow this path. Follow this path to reach the river. so it would be the 2nd one for this one?
Actually I think it's the first one. I think the problem with this example sentence is that it needs some sort of identification (in this case, you)
