Which factor can decrease the rate of a chemical reaction?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

lots of factors can decrease rate. In general, rate depends on the molecules colliding with the right amount of energy. Fewer molecules mean fewer collisions, which means a lower rate Lower temperature means a lower energy, which means a lower rate there are a few more, but you can always think about the effectiveness of rate based on how you can change the way the molecules collide
