Why do researchers work in teams? (site 1)
Well if you were a researcher would you not want to? They work in teams so that they don't skip over an important detail. Also, the more there are, the more they can research in a shorter amount of time. It's much more efficient to work as a group.
Many factors play a part why researchers would want to work in teams- largely to avoid human error. Like user gatorboy said, "so that they don't skip over an important detail" and "it's much more efficient to work as a group." Also, it is necessary to have accurate data by unbiased methods, and working in groups allows opportunity for new ideas. Just remember teams need proper distribution and positive reinforcement! https://www.cmu.edu/teaching/designteach/design/instructionalstrategies/groupprojects/benefits.html
think of it this way. why do societies have so many people? why dont we all just live alone? BECAUSE we'd die. we need others to survive. i suck at building but i'm awesome at healing, so i team up with someone who sucks at healing but can build me a home. get it?
I think one major thing would be to rely more on facts/evidence and to stay away from bias.
