because you have to have a greater amount to subtract a smaller amount from it, and the other one is saying that your subtracting a larger number from a smaller number. and the circle one isn't even doing any subtraction.

You copy and pasted that, but yes. Add the amount sold in the second and third year together, then subtract that amount from that which was sold in the first year. If we did that, would we get a different answer from the one we got for C?
