Please check my work, fan and medal The graph below shows the cost of a large cheese pizza at three different restaurants. What is the best way for this graph to be adapted to more accurately show the information? A) the vertical axis should use intervals of $0.50 instead of $1.00.*** B) the graph should be redrawn with the vertical axis beginning with $0. C) the bars should be much narrower. D) there should be no space between bars.

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

hm, so what do you think the answer is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the *** was my guess (A) @Vocaloid

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

hm, not quite! changing the units on the y-axis won't really improve the graph what do you think is the next best answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

either B or D

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

Hm, well, between B and D, which do you think is better?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D

i have to go eat dinner

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

Nope, putting the bars together won't really make the graph more accurate The answer is B. Most of the time, you want to start the y-axis at 0, unless your data values are very large (the data values in this graph aren't really all that big, so we should start with 0.) When you start the y-axis at a number other than zero, it makes the values in the graph appear further apart than they already are. The numbers in this graph are pretty close to each other but they look farther apart because the y-axis starts at 6, not 0.

^^ Agreed with @Vocaloid
