Bronsted Lowry question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I know its about the transfer of a proton aka H+ but I read from a site where they had a transfer of proton but also an electron aka OH- so is a transfer of electron also part of BL or is it only the proton? @JFraser

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Acid is proton donor, base proton acceptor lewis acid accepts electrons, lewis base donates electron pair such as OH

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first part is bronsted acid/base make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Proton is bronsted rules, electrons are lewis rules

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are essential the same when you react, but bronsted specifically talks about protons and lewis talks about electrons

OpenStudy (anonymous):

makes sense! and im not trying to say your wrong or anything but are you 100% sure that bronsted ONLY talk about protons?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
