3 and 7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh 45u+7?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

the 7 is right ( well its + 7) but dont forget the u^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK so now what now that i have45u+7?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

its not 5u - what is the square root of 9u^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3u. but i added that to the 42u and got 45u

OpenStudy (welshfella):

- no you cant do that these trinomials ( also called quadratics) factor out to the form (a + b)(c + d) in this case its (a + b)(a + b) where the middle term = 2ab in this case 2ab = 42u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh im kind of confused...
