i have three questions 1. What are the coordinates of the fourth point that could be connected with (–2, 3), (5, 3), and (5, –2) to form a rectangle? A. (5, –3) B. (–2, 2) C. (–2, –3) D. (–2, –2) 2.What is the distance between points (12, 4) and (12, –10) on the coordinate plane? 3.What is the perimeter of rectangle ABCD on the coordinate plane?
and i know i should post separate questions but this easier and i really really need help will fan Medal and write a testimonial
so to form a rectangle you need four straight lines, which means one set of points must fall on the same y axis and another set of points must fall on the same x axis. With the points you are given, you already have two sets that fall on the same y axis so now you need the remaining pair's x value and match it with your options. The distance would be the same as the slope which is rise over run for a straight line which is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) you have the two coordinate pairs so you just need to plug them in and solve. The perimeter is the sum of the lengths of the sides so you have two straight vertical lines and two straight horizontal lines you just need to find the difference in the values and add all of them up for the perimeter.
