Part A: How many solutions does the pair of equations for lines A and B have? Explain your answer. (5 points) Part B: What is the solution to the equations of lines A and B? Explain your answer. (5 points)

please help!(:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, so first off do you know what it means when it says "a solution"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is literally asking you how many times the graphs cross when it says "solutions for the pair of equations"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's the easiest way to remember it. for an explanation, all you have to say is: Because graphs A and B only intersect once, there is only one solution that satisfies both equations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And the solution they are looking for in number form is just the coordinates to where they cross

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks! but what would the solution be? (3,5)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe you can leave it in that form yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks so (3,5)
