Don't get lost in the sauce ask me if you need help with anything!!!
don't listen 2 this guy the answers he gives r all wrong.
hi @Y.R.N. what are the y intercepts of: \(\large y=\frac{3x^3-x}{x^2-4x}\)
@Jack1 give me one sec
i pluged it in and its saying there isnt any y intercepts tell me if im wrong
ur graph showed one though...?
one sec ill explain
k
Factor x out of 3x3−x. y=x(3x2−1)x2−4x Factor x out of x2−4x. y=x(3x2−1)x(x−4) Reduce the expression by cancelling the common factors. More Steps y=3x2−1x−4
then you graph it and gave me that
ok... so what tho... does the graph not cross the y axis?
you can see the points i put down at -1,0 and 1,0
and since its a function technically it eventually will if thats what your meaning
yeah... but it cant really cross the y axis though, right? becuase a functon will cross the y axis when x = 0 and if x = 0 then x^2 - 4x = 0 =0^2 - 4*0 = 0 so we're dividing by zero... yeah? so at that point, y = infinity
exactly
ima need an apology from that one guy cuz that was rude af
