Based on this theory, what distance will the handler move from the starting point to the return point if he creates an arc of a circle of radius 75 feet? 1884 feet 4415.63 feet 58.88 feet <---- My Answer 117.75 feet

@LegendarySadist
what are u trying to find. a sector, a segment, circumfrence, arc?
How can you get that number?
what is the degree of the angle
i kinda had guessed on this one but at first i thought you would divide but im not sure
not enough info! what is the degree, then I can solve it
im not sure theres nothing else besides that image is all the info it has but i think degree is 75
that's the radius
I've seen this problem posted before, the degree is supposed to be 90
oh...
(the full problem says "quarter of a circle" somewhere, I'll see if I can find the full problem...)
so what is the circumfrence @Moo_Moo17 ?
(here it is for verification) http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/4f86f7d0e4b0505bf08697db
75*2*pi.
because 90 is 1/4 360, would it be fair to say that the arc is 1/4 the circumfrence?
so 150pi/4 is 37.5pi which is around 117.806
so it would be the last answer.
thank you plasmataco ^w^
you forgot to multipy by 2 when you were finding the circumfrence
@Plasmataco Can I make a question on it?
ok
yea i figured that i was needing to multiply but i was just having trouble calculating
How do you define "distance"? is it the same with the length of the arc?
yes.
