OpenStudy (anonymous):

What volume of concentrated hydrochloric acid (12.0 M HCl) is required to make 2.0 liters of a 3.0 M HCl solution? 5.0 liters 0.24 liters 0.50 liters 6.0 liters

OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

To solve for this you first have to determine n the number of moles in your final solution using the formula n=cv. You find n because that's the number of moles you need so you use that in your second equation of v=n/c where your n is what you solved in the initial formula and c is your 12 this time. You should get an answer of 0.5L
