How do you setup the algebra equation for this? Katie made some chocolate truffles. Katie gave ¼ of her truffles to Leanne. Then Katie gave ½ of the remaining truffles to Jeff. At that point Katie had 18 truffles left. How many chocolate truffles did Katie have at first?

\[n X \frac{ 1 }{ 4 }X \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }= 18\]

This is the equation. All you need to do to find the number of original chocolates is to divide 18 firstly by a half and then by a quater (opposite of the multiplication)

It should equal 144 @Mr_Rick
