Most people learn how to find the area of a circle. It is a very famous formula.
The volume of the cylinder is 1256 cm^3. The volume of the smaller cone is 200.96 cm^3. If the cone is inside the cylinder it is taking up some of the air space inside. Some, but not all. To find out the air space it is NOT taking up, subtract the volume of the cone from the volume of the cylinder.
1256-200.96=1055.04 cm^3 is the air space left.
