Calculate the wavelength of a photon of energy 5.518 × 10-26 joules. (Planck's constant is 6.626 × 10-34 joule seconds, the speed of light is 2.998 × 108 m/s)

OpenStudy (jfraser):

this is a two-step problem, and they've given you both constants you need. The \(energy, \space E\) of a wave is directly proportional to its \(frequency, \space \nu\). \[E = h*\nu\]The \(speed, \space c\), of that same wave is also related to its frequency and its wavelength, \(\lambda\). \[c = \lambda * \nu\] Use the energy equation and plank's constant to find the frequency, then plug that frequency into the wavelength equation to solve for the wavelength
