OpenStudy (anonymous):

how many liters of nitrogen dioxide will produce 30 liters of nitric oxide given that both gases are at STP?

OpenStudy (photon336):

2[NO2] --> 2[NO] + [O2] At STP 1mol of gas occupies 22.4L 1mol NO2 gas/22.4L = x mol/30.0L 0.75 mol of NO2 gas x 2[NO]/2[NO2] = 0.75 mol NO2 0.75 mol NO2 occupies 30.0 L At STP 1 mol of every gas occupies 22.4L, so I guess 22.4L of NO2. @rvc can you help, thanks!
