Match the sequence (term) with the correct type of sequence (definition).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

128, 32, 8, 2 1, 3, 9, 27 5, 10, 15, 20 20, 17, 14, 11 which goes with what sequence A) Arithmetic, common difference is 5 B) Arithmetic, common difference is -3 C) Geometric, common ratio is 3 D) Geometric, common ratio is 0.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know what "antithetic" and "geometric" mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol "arithmetic"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah kinda but i dont really understand how to find them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

artithmetic means you add or subtract the same number from one term to get to the next

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so for example 5, 10, 15, 20 is arithmetic because you are adding the same number (namely 5) to each number to get to the next number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whereas geometric means you MULTIPLY or DIVIDE each number by the same number to get to the next one for example 128, 32, 8, 2 is geometric because you divide each number by 4 to get to the next one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i will let you figure out the other two for yourself one is arithmetic, one is geometric

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats not an option
