What is the molarity of a solution prepared by dissolving 50 grams of glucose C6H12O6 in 2400mls of solution? --i divided 50g by 180g C6H12O6 = .277 and got stuck please help? Thanks!

OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

So you got the first part you found the number of moles of solute. Next you can convert your solution from millilitres into litres as that is the one of the units used to express molarity. Then to find the molarity you can use the formula: molarity= mols of solute/litres of solution Your units for molarity will be mols/litre

got it thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 2400 to liters and my answer divided by .277?

OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

It would be the .277/your litres if you were still questioning that
