OpenStudy (yumyum247):

Let me try my luck first.....

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

319Hz?

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

idk:(

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Your beat frequency is just changed

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

but the steps are initially the same

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

from 2 to 1Hz???????

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Yup

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

give me a hint please.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

\[1 Hz = |f_2-f_1|\]

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

that's what i was using OMG!!!

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

Awwwwnnnn!!! :"(

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

lol

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

What did we get for frequency b

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

322 and 318?

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

both are viable

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

but i guess 322Hz seems legit to me.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

I got it, I'll let you think about it for a bit

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

ok but the formula is right tho?????right??

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

We don't need a formula, all we have to observe is the frequencies dropping 1 Hz

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

from the original

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

We figured out the frequencies were 322 and 318

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

ok so in the initial case the freak was 322Hz and beat freak was 2Hz but then it droped to 1Hz

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

So we have 318 drops to 317 and 322 drops to 321, now if we have beat frequency being 1 Hz, we have the following \[320Hz-317Hz = 1 Hz\] or is it \[321 Hz - 320 Hz = 1 Hz\] which one can we eliminate

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

second one would be it.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Yes, you're right, so our original frequency then is 322 Hz, notice the question specifies, tuning fork B AND beat frequency dropped 1 Hz. We just had to read it carefully :)

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

ooooooooooh i got it.....

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

so in the first case we got 322 and 318 and the beat freak was 2Hz but then then the beat freak droped to 1 Hz

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Yes, as well did the frequency of b

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

they both dropped by 1, it's a nice question

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

It checks if you understand the concept or not :P

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

initially we had 320Hz + 2 beat freak = 322 bt then it drooped by 1Hz

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Yes, that's what we figured out from the previous question, we had two frequencies for b and we had to decipher which one was the original

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

so 321 - inital 320 = 1Hz

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Frequency A was 320Hz, not B

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

We figured out frequency b in your previous problem to be 322, and 318

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

yah that's what i meant!!!

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

and it told us in this part that frequency b and the beat frequency both drop by 1 hz

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

ok do you get it now? :)

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

79.329% but yah i think i got it.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Ok :)

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

Thanks an...just one more :")

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

>.<

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Ok haha

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

I'm sorry love but we have to go through this together.....!! :") LOL

OpenStudy (yumyum247):

i've done the whole question but i'm just stuck at the line part. can you teach me how to do the calculations at the very end...here is a demo.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Other post!

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

:)
