HELP PLEASE!! (attatchment with question) asap! will medal
a direct variation means, something like y = (some value) * x like say y = 3x so if x = 1, y = 3 x = 2, y = 6 x= 3, y = 9 and so on ----------------------------------------------- inverse variation means \(y=\frac{some\ number}{x}\qquad \textit{for example}\qquad y=\frac{3}{x} \qquad \begin{array}{llll} x&y \\\hline\\ 1&\frac{3}{1}\to 3\\ 2&\frac{3}{2}\\ 3&\frac{3}{3}\to 1\\ &\textit{and so on} \end{array}\)
can you help me with the first one then???
well... what do you think on the first one notice, "y" seems to always be bigger than "x" is there any factor for that?
nope so is it inverse?
or neither?
hmmm actually.... "y" fluctuates
what do you mean
it varies.. is up first.. then down... .is bigger than "x", and then it goes smaller
ok so what does that mean
well... looking at their pattern, I don't see a common factor to get an expression on any of of them...thus I'd say neither on all 3
