HELP MATCHING (x is multiplying not variable) Match the expressions with their resultant terms in exponential form 1.) 13^-11 x 13^16 x 13^-3 x 13^4 x 13^-5 2.) 13^-21 x 13^-4 x 13^-5 x 13^14 x 13^-6 3.) 13^33 x 13^-2 x 13^5 x 13^-13 x 13^-8 4.) 13^0 x 13^10 x 13^-12 x 13^5 x 13^4 a.) 13^7 b.) 13^19 c.) 13^1 d.) 13^-22 e.) 13^-14 f.) 13^15 g.) 13^-7

if you have the same base, add the exponents. this rule comes from "common sense" for example a^2 * a^3 means a*a * a*a*a = a^5 the long way is write out the multiplies. the short way is add the exponents (this works even if the exponents are negative)

Thanks for helping, but did you just sass me? LOL. It is NOT "common sense" because if somebody such as myself did not learn it, how would it make sense to me?? I wasn't in school to learn the material at the time. So that's why I was asking. -.-
