Select all that apply. What are the functions of ATP? provides the energy for respiration provides the energy for photosynthesis stores the initial energy released by respiration provides the energy for all cytoplasmic chemical synthesis make all other organic compounds from its own complex molecules
it provides energy for a lot of things but I want to say the first is correct
WAIT I LIED
i htink it is the 1st 2nd and 4th
4th one
im not sure though
#4 covers 1 and 2 as cytoplasmic chemical synthesis
Please, no direct answers. No answers before Might soul says what he or she thinks about the question.
its nightsoul and im a he and i already said what i think
or at least I think photoSYNTHESIS and cell reseration (the complete oppsite of potosynthesis) are cytoplasmic chemical synthesese
Where did you say it? You know what people who give direct answers here can be banned.
What do you know about ATP?
All are correct except the last one (I believe). ATP is basically a molecule used to store energy. Organisms use ATP when they want or need energy... thus, any answer related to ATP 'providing' or 'releasing' energy for an organism is correct....
right above me saying 4th one
thnx you guys. i really needed the help. :)
anytime
You're right Night Soul, but how ATP is produced? <--- there is a key here to reply to the question and eliminate the bad answers. I disagree with your reply. (all correct except the last one)
Explain
I will. Tell me how do you think ATP is produced. 1/For a plant 2/ For an animal
isnt it the same way?
it is produced for both.
Not at all.
or is it cell resperation and photosynthesis that makes atp
why not at all?
Animals don't have photosynthesis, so what is the role of the photosynthesis, to produce what?
C6 H2 O6

hows that for not giving a direct answer -u-
it is produced during respiration in plants and animals to store and release needed energy. and what that response on yahoo just tells you what type of respiration plants and animals go through
So, if photosynthesis produces ATP, can we say that ATP is used to provide energy for photosynthesis, it's a result, or an ingredient?
it tells you that, yes it is produced by photosynthesis, but what it doesn't tell you is if it is produce by animals or not
the functions of ATP? provides the energy for respiration provides the energy for photosynthesis Wrong or right?
It can't provide the energy for, and to be the result of.
right
thats correct
so its 1-4 if im not mistaken
How it can be one and two? Explain me how ATP can provide the energy for the process, and being the result of the process? I don't understand.
how does it say it is a result in any of the responses
I would say the correct answers are 2 and 3, but I will check them a little bit. Note that it's impossible to have 1 and 3 true, because they are opposite. provides the energy for all cytoplasmic chemical synthesis --> yes make all other organic compounds from its own complex molecules --> no, it's the role of "bricks", like aminoacids.
the energy stored in 3 is used to restart the process in 1 so they are both correct
Is ATP the ingredient or the result? Please reply, because it can't be both. If it provides energy FOR photosynthesis, it can't be the result of photosynthesis...
it is the catalyst of the reaction and also serves to store energy
