Given: XY/AB=XZ/AC and ∠A ≅ ∠X Prove: ΔABC ~ ΔXYZ

Have a diagram?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No that,s how it was...all it was explaining was Proving SAS Similarity by Dilation

OpenStudy (owlcoffee):

Well, "SAS" is pretty much a theorem that englobes the similarity of two triangles. In short words: "If a pair of triangles have a two pairs of similar angles and the angles between them are also congruent, then, the two triangles are similar."

oh okay thank you!

OpenStudy (owlcoffee):

And in the excercise you are given that two sides are similar and also the angles inbetween are congruent, therefore ABC and XYZ are similar.
