a.What is the initial energy of the system? b.What is the final energy of the system? c.Why are these values different? d.How far along the slope does the combination of child and sled travel before momentarily coming to a stop? Assume a frictionless slope.

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

the initial energy is the kinetic energy of child, since the sled is at the rest.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would the final energy be equal to the initial assuming that total energy is conserved. @Michele_Laino
